Hometown honors fallen Kentucky airman killed in military plane crash
Technical Sergeant Ashley Pruitt was honored on Thursday morning as her remains were returned home following her tragic death in a plane crash over Iraq.
Gov. Andy Beshear has ordered flags lowered from sunrise to sunset to honor Tech. Sgt. Ashley Pruitt. The Bardstown native was one of six crew members killed in March when a refueling plane crashed in western Iraq while supporting military operations.
Tech. Sgt. Ashley B. Pruitt, 34, of Bardstown, was among the six U.S. Air Force airmen killed in a plane crash over western Iraq March 12.
The airman, Tech. Sgt. Ashley Pruitt, was killed in March after the plane she and five other service members were flying in crashed over western Iraq.
